On Monday 12 April 1954, Beltran opened its doors for the first time on Carrer Consejo de Ciento, in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district, offering cooked vegetables and salted fish for sale. Tomàs Beltran and Ernestina Saba- té were in charge.
The Beltran family has witnessed the evolution of gastronomy over the decades, but we have never lost our respect and passion for culinary tradition.
Here, each dish is prepared with the freshest and most authentic ingredients, following the original recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation.
The souls of this transformation were Enric Beltran at the counter and Ángeles Aguilar in the kitchen. Today the business is run by the third generation with Susana Beltran as the cornerstone.
